Teacher Support Center
Integrating
ICT in education
In a bid to integrate ICT with education, RIFI-STI had developed an online
support center that is designed to offer timely virtual support to teachers and
students across Uganda. STI has a support center on
which science teachers connect and freely interact with subject specialists.
Teachers are able to go online, call or text for assistance in understanding
teaching content, selecting effective teaching methodology and how to carry out
testing and evaluation at UNEB standard.
The TSC has
bridged the gap between experienced and non-experienced teachers by allowing
them to interact and learn from each other. The platform also offers a
diverse and interactive learning space for learners country-wide, offering
practical and interactive lessons. Through this platform, students from humble
backgrounds are also in a position to attend lessons from any teacher of their

STI works to
create a platform where teachers from the rural and urban schools can interact
and share experience, knowledge and skills in the different approaches of
teaching science.
